Follow-up to the 1st Latin American Conference in Research and Innovation for Health. Havana, Cuba, November 2009.

This report charts activities and progress toward development of national health research systems in Latin America, in a process started by COHRED, PAHO and other partners in 2008, and in which all countries in Latin America participated..

The process looks at strengthening of national health research systems in the region, human resources for health research, financing of health research, knowledge transfer and translation. It summarises the presentations and discussions provided by participations in this follow up meeting in Cuba, November 2009..
