COHRED has three main strands of work in low- and middle-income countries:

All of COHRED’s programmes and initiatives aim to establish strong research for health and innovation systems in-country, through effective management policies and priorities, financing and financial monitoring, and effective management of human resources.

COHRED also works to help countries develop research ethics systems, fair research contracting, pharma innovation and technology transfer.
