Topic: Health Research Systems

Description: The general goal of the workshop was to initiate and bring forwards the implementation of ENHR activities in Uganda. Participants were drawn from relevant ministries, district health teams, professional organisations and NGOs. The workshop resolved that ENHR be institutionalised in the Uganda national Council for Science and Technology and this would form the basis for follow-up of the following recommendations:
* Adoption of the ENHR concept by the Government of Uganda
* Formation of an ad-hoc committee to facilitate activities related to ENHR
