* obtain information on national and regional experiences in health research, both positive and negative
* solicit ideas and opinions on what will be the critical issues for the coming years, and
* forge more effective and creative partnerships for health research in the long term.
This report highights the consultations that took place in Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States.
