Description: The Eastern Mediterranean consultative process has been put in place in an attempt to capture the status of health research in the region and, in so doing, present a regional ‘voice’ to the International Conference on Health Research for Development (Bangkok, 2000). Ten countries participated in the consultations.This report reflects the outcomes of the consultations that took place in Tunesia. It gives a brief overview of the health research situation and health research management in the country.
