The overall aim of the project is to work with researchers from Brazil, India and South Africa to collect data on their domestic expenditures on health research, and to help enhance mechanisms and capacities within these countries to collect this data.  Workshops were held in New Delhi (Feb 16-18), Pretoria (Feb 21-23), and Rio de Janeiro (March 2-4) with aims to bring together key national stakeholders, identify previous and ongoing work in the area, and adapt the project to fulfil local needs.  Project plans are currently being finalised with country collaborators.  Partners: Indian Council for Medical Research, India, Global Forum for Health Research, Switzerland, and the Rockefeller Foundation, USA (Partners in Brazil and South Africa to be confirmed).
