Description: In 1995, the Ministry of Health has commissioned an NGO, the Foundation for the Promotion of Research and International Cooperation in Health Care (ISOG 2000), to bring forward the promotion and further development of an ENHR strategy in the Netherlands Antilles. A task force is to be established. This was further discussed at a national ENHR workshop in 1996. During this workshop, the Curaçao Health Study was used as a starting point to move towards a process of institutionalising health research in a systematic and sustainable manner (as a managerial tool for more informed decision-making).
