This special session will reflect on the legacy from Bangkok (the International Conference on Health Research for Development, 2000), on the present and future challenges for health research to contribute to greater equity in health, poverty reduction and development, as well as on the contributions of various stakeholders to the promotion of effective health research responsive to national needs.More specifically, the session will allow previous, current and new partners to reflect on how COHRED can improve its activities, optimize its comparative advantages and contribute as substantively in the next decade as it did in the previous one.
