Enhancing research capacity in developing and transition countries

Description: Since 1995 the Caribbean Health Research Council organises and conducts Research Skills Workshops. In the first three years, twenty workshops, attended by more then 600 health professionals from eight Caribbean countries, were organised. The overall objective was to improve and increase the research capability of participating countries, especially with respect to health services research within the context of ENHR. A Basic Research Skills manual was developed for the workshops. Recently, repeat and advanced workshops have been organised.
