Description: This Newsletter was created to widely disseminate information on the various aspects, activities and progress regarding the process of implementing ENHR in Nicaragua, and health research issues in general.

This issue presents a summary of the Five Year Plan for the Development of the ENHR in Nicaragua, from 1994 -1998. It provides a short historical overview of the different activities undertaken in the country from the year 1990 until 1993, in order to build up the National Agenda for Health Research. It presents a list of the research priorities which are part of the Agenda and summarises the Strategic Plan with its components and fundamental activities. Finally, this number announces the Workshop on Health Development and ENHR in Nicaragua, to be held in April, 1994, with the support of COHRED.
