The Tajikistan Health Sector Policy: “Conception of Health Care Reform in the Republic of Tajikistan”^[1] serves as a good example of a national priority setting exercise It targets nine objectives and related

developmental strategies for health care reform in the country:

• Strengthening primary health care
• Distributing resources according to need
• Developing human resources
• Rationalizing services
• Improving quality of care
• Strengthening management capacity
• Ensuring necessary information for management
• Creating personal responsibility for their own health
among population
