Health Research in Kazakhstan

TKazakhstan’s health sector reforms target the creation of efficient health care delivery system, based on six guiding principles:

• Setting joint responsibility between the state and population for
health
• Transition to international principles of health care delivery based on
primary health care
• Creating a health management model supported by an integrated
health information system
• Strengthening maternal and child health
• Ongoing reduction of incidence diseases that take a toll on society
• Reform of the medical education system
